People's Champ Manny “The Pacman” Pacquiao is seemingly not content in just conquering the boxing arena.

After having consistently floored boxing fanatics and opponents alike with his powerful fists, he is now set to knockout the international music scene with the power of his voice.

Pacquiao, who has already released songs written by renowned novelty songwriter Lito Camo including “Para Sa ‘Yo (Ang Laban Na ‘To) and “Lahing Pinoy,” confirmed that he will soon record an album in the U.S.

Although he admitted that the matter is “already a done deal,” he insists on keeping the details under wraps for now, save to say, "Recording contract sa US. Kinuha kami. English album. Abangan nila.”

According to Pacquiao, the deal also involves Camo as his main songwriter, and that his producer is a certain Isaac Reain.

Rather than being happy over the news, some netizens are worried that the new development might just distract Pacquiao, taking away his concentration from his upcoming fight with the highly formidable Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto.

“Why can’t he just focus on boxing?” laments one fan.

“And he is doing it for what? Is it for prestige, for greater fame or…for more money? When will it ever be enough for him?” questions another.

That said, Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s ever reliable mentor and coach, is neither worried about Cotto nor about "any distraction."

“Manny is getting there…he is almost ready…I really do think he is in top form," he reported from the champ's training camp.

"He’s really been focused. He’s determined to win this one and I think he will.”
