FILIPINO-American mixed-martial arts (MMA) warrior Brandon Vera will be fighting the most difficult fight in his career as he faces Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hall of famer Randy Couture on Nov. 14 in UFC: 105 in London, UK.
Vera is looking to beat the heavily-favored MMA legend and then watch and cheer on his fellow countryman Manny Pacquiao in his own super fight against Puerto Rican superstar Miguel Cotto.

“I want to get business out of the way, then I can still watch the Pacquiao fight,” said Vera in a report posted at Telegraph.co.uk.
Vera said that he will be looking for a place to watch the much-anticipated battle between two of the best boxers in the world today.
“I’m hoping I will be able to watch it. I love watching Pacquiao fight. I think he’d make a brilliant mixed martial artist--he’s one of those guys who’d be a brilliant sportsman at whatever he took up,” said Vera, whose father Ernesto is a Filipino and mother Amelia is an Italian-American.
The 32-year-old Vera is a huge supporter of Pacquiao and has high regard for the pound-for-pound king’s talent and work ethic.
He’s one of those guys whose opponents realize how good he is when they wake up on the canvas (and he’s) standing over them. He’s that quick,” he said.
Vera has a 9-3 UFC record and an 11-3 MMA record.
He won his UFC debut match in 2005, and stopped Fabiano Scherner in the second round. He won his next three fights, including a 69-second knockout over former UFC champion Frank Mir.
Vera suffered his first loss against the towering Tim Sylvia in 2007.
Vera is now on a comeback trail after his last loss against Keith Jardine last year and won his last two UFC bouts.
He plans to keep his streak by beating Couture for a possible crack at the UFC light heavyweight crown in the future.
